What do you expect for 2023 and 2024?

According to the European Commission, there is a shortage of about 50 thousand programmers in Poland, while in Europe it is as many as ca. 600 thousand specialists. At the same time, the number of computer science graduates in Poland is falling and currently stands at around 14 thousand. Luckily, Poland has dozens of coding schools that compensate for the declining number of IT graduates. Additionally, the growing relocation trend of software developers from Belarus, Ukraine, and the Philippines accelerates the growth of the IT talent pool in Poland. Combining this with the top Polish quality (Polish IT professionals get the highest ranks in international programming contests like Microsoft Imagine Cup, Google Code Jam, TopCoder, every year), the IT market in Poland has a huge potential. Depending on the source, the European IT gap should be closed by the end of 2030. This means that in the upcoming years the employee market will stay strong. Polish estimated IT growth for 2023 and 2024 is around 4.8% vs 2.8% for the whole Europe according to statista.com.
